It's always more than enough for me. Engaging myself in different outreach programs taught me how to utilize whatever I have and learn how to give back to those who are in need.

  

In the year 2017, I served my duty as a Student Council President of TRACE College where I had the chance to meet different people and expand the horizon of my leadership knowledge. Apart from serving our students, I know in myself that I also want to make an impact on our community in whatever way possible. As my term ends, me and my team decided to conduct a new year's thanksgiving with the orphans from  Open Door Academy, a Christian school and orphanage located in San Pablo City, Laguna. This one-day experience sparked a lot of realizations within myself. We are always focused on improving ourselves and achieving things for personal growth that we forget to engage ourselves in the real world. Not everyone is as privileged as others and no one asked to be born the way they were. 

 

For me, helping is beyond the monetary value that someone can give. It is about showing empathy to people and teaching them ways of how they can make the most of what they have. My passion for education brought me to different places where I have been given the chance to impart my knowledge to others. I also guide and offer peer mentoring sessions with my classmates who are struggling with academics. With these simple gestures, I know I am serving my purpose. I may not be successful in the future but I know that there is someone who carries the knowledge I shared with them and become the best version of themselves.
